If you love your per and is thinking about taking him/her to this clinic, please don’t. Our dog died because of their lack of knowledge and negligence. We consistenly informed them about symptons that he was having, being one of them excessive peeing and the answer? “It’s mating time and as he’s a male, he pees more to mark his territorry.” 02 months later, our dog died with chronic kidneys disease. And they didn’t even have the courage to call us back to discuss it. We also asked for the medical reports and they never replied to us. I’ll never forgive them.

We entrusted the health of our beloved dog Chupito to Dierenkliniek Goudenregenstraat and it has been one of our deepest regrets. Last months we repeatedly said that our dog was losing his appetite, urinating excessively, throwing up. We were told he was just getting older (9 years) and picky with food, or that the increased urination was due to spring mating season. At one point, they even recommended a dental cleaning, which we proceeded with but none of our concerns were properly investigated. On Wednesday, September 17, we visited again for his monthly routine injection and once more raised the alarm: he wasn’t eating, had lost significant weight (they weighed him), and was clearly unwell and throwing up. We were attended by an unexperience vet, that briefly consulting with a senior one (who didn’t even came to exam him) and sent us home with a can of digestive care food. Just two days later, on Friday, September 19, we took him to another clinic. They immediately were alarmed about the symptoms, ran blood tests, and diagnosed him with end stage Chronic Kidney Disease. We hospitalized him for the entire weekend to try to save him, but sadly, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. Multiple vets were surprised that this wasn’t discovered earlier. Not once did Dierenkliniek Goudenregenstraat suggested a simple blood test that could have detected the issue in time. Please avoid this clinic. In our experience, they showed more interest in charging for procedures than caring for your pet’s health. Had they taken our concerns professionally, we might have caught the disease earlier, extended his life, and spared him unnecessary suffering.
