I believe that if you are going to perform a dental cleaning on a dog who is someone’s pet, you should at least call and advise before removing 23 pieces with a lot of tissue still attached to them. It seems excessive to me, who have seen bad dog teeth that come off with almost no tissue, from the same dog; it must have been difficult to extract most of them. Was any life threatening condition that justified this massive extraction? Do you not know that this significantly deteriorates the dog’s jaw bone and condemns the animal to eat even worse quality food? I see many people complaining about the cost only, but I would add that procedures need revising. Update: we went there to complain and not only did they recognize they need to revise their procedures so this kind of mistakes do not happen again, and to make sure that a dental cleanup is not the same as “dogs’ mouths be cleaned of their teeth before calling their pet master”. They also offer their “expert human phycological care and advice” if you consider that they have abused your pet” after a mistake that will irrefutable cause detriment to your pet (and your own mental health) after making a terrible mistake. The name is MALPRACTICE”. We’ll see if this does not even mean an increased liability of the vet, which will mean higher insurance costs. Unbelievable these people think their patients’ owners/masters are dumb or that they are protected by law to screw your pet over. Let’s see what the law has to say
