Please read my honest review and do not immediately believe the idiotic negative reviews left here. First of all, get a pet insurance with dental insurance. Bills can be expensive if you are not insured. Surely most of you know this but your pet is not somekind of decorative lifestyle instagram-photo addition to your life that you can just buy once and give food and water and then expect that you will never have to spend money on. They are living beings that are completely dependent on you for their care. Take your responsibility. You are not a vet, you were not educated to medically examine your pet, the vet did their studies because they love animals and want to help them. 2024 - We called to make an appointment for our hamster and were able to go on the same day, we got a clear cost indication and were helped by knowledgeable friendly people. 2025 - Now a year later we went with our 12 year old recently adopted cat, she wasn't eating to the point of losing weight and her behaviour was different. The vet knew what he was doing, took time to gently examine her and explain to us what he thought might be going on. The previous owners never took her to the vet and thought everything was okay because she's an inside cat and got the expensive food from the TV commercials. Turns out she has severe dental issues that need to be treated ASAP. We discussed the different options and got an oral painkiller so she could at least handle the pain and eat wet food to prevent her from losing too much weight until dental procedures. After giving the painkiller she almost immediately started eating again and her behaviour returned her usual manners. Now it's time to wait untill the dental procedures.

My cat was moved to another city after having an emergency visit for urinary problems. This was done under the pretext of “not having enough space”. I was NOT notified about this, I only found out after I called them just to be met with a “your cat is not here anymore, he was transferred to one of our partners in Winsum” (or some similar city, I don’t fully remember since it happened a few months ago. I then contacted them in order to receive some information about the state of my cat. A day passed and a rude nurse called me to pick up my cat since he was “incredibly aggressive”, which mind you, is unheard of. After a long back and forth with this person, I managed to get ahold of another nicer nurse that said she could bring him back to the Groningen vet and pick him up the next day. The next day rolls around and I get a call from this clinic that my cat is fine and he can pee without the catheter (which was a lie). I unfortunately had to go to my actual vet in order to solve this problem, where I had the chance to ask about the cat’s behavior (surprise surprise, no behavioral issues, just a sweet cat). I DO NOT recommend this vet, especially if you’re a cat owner; please check out other cat specialized veterinary clinics since they are more capable than this clinic.
