My partner took my dog there as her back limps were found paralysed when he got home from work one day so he took her to this vet hospital immediately. The vet on duty had a quick check up on her and soon after she jumped to a conclusion that it’s best to put her to sleep as she thinks she is suffering a lot! I was away at the time so they called me on the phone and told me about the news. When the vet told me that my dogs is coughing a lot, she is in a lot of pain, she is screaming and she is old so I should really consider letting her go, it just all didn’t make a lot of sense to me as she was brought in for the numb back legs rather than her coughing issue which is an known issue and it’s been monitored and controlled fairly well by the medication already. It was not the reason why we brought the dog in to the hospital for. My dog was not screaming when she was at home and she only started screaming when the vet did something to her legs. My dog has always been extra nervous when she is at the vet so she always pants a lot more than usual. I didn’t trust the vet’s advice and told her to simply give her a pain killer and we would take her home to monitor. I ended up taking the next flight home next day. Long story short, it turned out my dog simply had a slip at home as her paws are now very dry due to her age and she had lost the grip to the floor. Her legs just went numb for a short period of time as she couldn’t get herself back up for a number of hours. She was able to walk like normal again next morning and like nothing had happened before! She was chasing ball, eating well, and all happy again. I now simply apply some paw ointment to improve her grip and problem has been solved. It makes me so angry that the vet would jumped to such an irreversible decision without doing a full diagnosis on her and I could have lost my beloved dog! I am fully aware that my dog is old but I’m ready to let go when I know she is truly suffering too much. It’s deeply concerning to me that the vet had not done the full due diligence in this case and nearly costed my dog’s life! It’s completely irresponsible and they are still denying any wrong doing from their end. I don’t believe my dog had “miraculously” revived herself as the vet hospital suggested because she became all normal again the very next morning, but it was a clear misdiagnosis from the vet on duty! Not only we had incurred additional financial losses from this, it had also caused us a tremendous emotional distress. I don’t know how many other poor dogs had been mistreated and lathe pet owner had lost their beloved dogs from the similar situation! I hope they would somehow hold the accountability for their action! Be extremely careful and try to get a second opinion if you have any doubt of what the vet says to you! Especially this vet!

Helaas is mijn poes daar, totaal onverwacht, maar wel op een hele goede, mooie en vredige manier ingeslapen. Wat ontzettend fijn was, was dat het personeel super meedenkend, begripvol, lief, meelevend en aardig is!!
