Wij en onze hond Charlie zijn al ruim 13 jaar heel blij en erg tevreden met Hank en zijn team. De trefwoorden zijn: professioneel, kundig, toegewijd, no nonsense, toegankelijk, empatisch, geen fratsen, uitstekende nazorg. Onlangs was Charlie, een straathond uit Portugal, heel ziek. We konden snel langskomen en er werd direct actie ondernomen. Letterlijk de hele week stond het hele team paraat voor ons en op zondag checkten ze ook nog hoe het met Charlie ging. Hulde!! This practice is the BEST! They look after anxious pets - and their anxious owners - as though they are their own. It’s a little community, with people who have clearly been coming for years. I have sat in the waiting room w my dog and watched and heard so many little kindnesses that the whole team do; nothing is ever too much. Oh and the thank you cards and letters in the treatment room should give you all the comfort you need if you are considering this vet. The care, attention and treatment that your pet absolutely will receive is incredible. And, as I said, they are given in equal measure to the owners. In fact, there is only one major downside to this place if you’re a dog owner: your pet may your shoulder out trying to get into the place coz they know that this is home to some fine treats, generously shared!

Deze mensen moeten zich schamen, zeker een schandaal dat ze nog open zijn, ik wil ze niet eens 1 ster geven al vanaf dag 1 dat ik hier kwam was ik geschockeert over hun gedrag naar mij en mijn kat ze zijn zwaar onbeschoft, hebben een grote mond tegen je je mag niks over je dier zeggen, geen mening hebben, beledigen je ook uit het niets op persoonlijke vlak wat verbazingwekkend was ik was aardig en een beetje verlegen in ruil kreeg ik die psychopatische gedrag terug, tense sfeer daar elke keer, medicijnen die werden besteld maar ik werd daar ook nooit over terug gebeld dat ik ze kon ophalen al 2x achter elkaar, daarna zat. blijkbaar vinden ze ook dat ze het zelfs beter weten dan de dieren specialisten, nou beter geld stelen zou je wel kunnen zeggen!! Ze geven totaal niet om je dier ik zou echt zsm wegrennen!!HIER NIET KOMEN.Ik vond ze zo naar dat ik ze lang heb ontweken tot het niet meer kon, ben meteen verwisseld van dierenarts ipv hier terugkomen en gelijk opgelucht want daar geven ze wel om je dier verschil merk je meteen!!

I was very disappointed by the care provided at this veterinarian. My dog was a regular client at a veterinarian on the rozengracht but as we moved to a new neighborhood we didn't have a veterinarian nearby and this was the closest one to our home. I rushed here in an emergency with my little dog as he was having trouble breathing and was not eating/drinking. Upon arrival, the doctor and nurse were rude and did not speak in English in front of me and only proceeded to talk Dutch to one another, luckily I understand somewhat of the language so I was able to decipher what they were saying but they did not provide me with the same detailed explanations in English. Furthermore, my dog had a similar problem a month and a half prior so I tried to describe the situation then and show them medical paperwork he received from the other doctor I took him to last time this happened, they shrugged off the paperwork and didn't seem to care about it. They did not listen to my story and cut me off when I tried to explain what had happened with my dog a month prior. I felt it incredibly disrespectful and as a lack of attention to care as his previous doctor visit could have been a precursor to what was happening with him at the moment. They did some exams and found fluid in my dogs lungs, and they had mentioned his tongue was blue but told me he will be fine. They ONLY prescribed me oral medications and said he will be better within a week then sent me off after paying the hefty bill. At this point my dog was suffering and severely had low levels of oxygen in his little body. After coming home from this visit I gave my dog the medication and watched him alertly. He did not get better, but got worse. I had called this vet to see if there was anything more we could do as I was scared for my dogs current condition and I didn't feel medication alone would be enough and they declined any further treatment or measures. That being said, my dog ended up unconscious that night. I had to call an ambulance to take him to the animal hospital where they proceeded to give him an IV and put him in an oxygen tank, but at this time he was in a pretty bad state and had suffered a lot. The vet at the hospital mentioned that his pain and this situation could likely have prevented if pre-cautionary measures would have been taken by the vet and at least an IV of meds administered when they saw his pain levels and his tongue turning blue, or if the vet would have just referred my dog to the hospital right away. Needless to say my dog had to go through a lot of suffering and gave up his fight a day after admission to the hospital and two days after our initial visit to this vet. The level of service and attention provided here was incredibly disappointing and until this day I regret taking him here and not elsewhere, where maybe they could have prevented my dogs suffering and potentially could have saved his life.
